Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create a TikTok account for real estate.

Step 1: Download and Install the App

  1. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Search for 'TikTok' and download and install the app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Sign Up

  1. Open the TikTok app.
  2. Tap on the ‘Profile’ icon usually at the bottom right.
  3. Choose ‘Sign Up.’
  4. You can sign up using your phone number, email, or another social media account. For a business, using an email associated with the business is recommended.

Step 3: Set Up Your Profile

  1. You will be prompted to fill out the below. 
  2. Birthday: Use your birthday to verify your age. 
  3. Username: Pick a username related to your real estate business for consistency. 
  4. Password: Choose one that you will easily recall when logging in. 

Step 4: Add any Additional Profile Info

  1. In your profile, add a profile picture, nickname, bio, and any other info that you want to personalize your account. 
  2. Profile Picture: Use a professional photo, perhaps your company logo or a personal headshot if you’re an individual realtor.
  3. Bio: Briefly describe your services, the areas you operate in, and any other relevant details.
  4. Instagram & YouTube Integration: Link other social media profiles to drive traffic across platforms.

Step 5: Switch to a Business Account

  1. In your profile, tap the three lines (or settings).
  2. Choose “Settings and Privacy.’
  3. Tap on Account
  4. Tap ‘Switch to Business Account.’
  5. Choose the category ‘Business’ and further classify as ‘Real Estate.’ 

Business Accounts provide insights about your followers and the performance of your posts.
